Cut from practice squad
The Steelers released Scott (undisclosed) from their practice squad with an injury settlement Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Analysis: Scott spent two weeks with Pittsburgh after he failed to earn a 53-man roster spot with the Rams out of training camp. The veteran running back will look for an opportunity elsewhere once healthy.

Dealing with injury
Scott (undisclosed) was placed on the Steelers' practice squad injured list Wednesday.
Analysis: Scott signed with Pittsburgh's practice squad Friday after being waived by the Rams. It's not clear what the injury is or how much time he could miss, but his move to the injured list will force him to miss at least four weeks before he's eligible to return to practice.

Goes to Pittsburgh's practice squad
The Steelers signed Scott to their practice squad Friday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Scott spent the preseason with the Rams and totaled a team-leading 157 rushing yards on 36 carries while adding 10 yards on three catches across three exhibition contests. However, the veteran ball carrier was released Sunday, and he'll now add to Pittsburgh's organizational depth at running back. Scott has extensive NFL experience, totaling 1,295 career rushing yards with 16 touchdowns on 302 carries and 71 receptions for 566 yards and another touchdown over 75 regular-season games with…read more

Let go by Rams
The Rams released Scott on Sunday, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports.
Analysis: Scott signed with the Rams in April after spending the first six years of his career in Philadelphia, where he primarily played as a third-down back. The 29-year-old's playing time hit a career low during his final campaign with the Eagles, tallying just 20 carries for 86 yards across 15 regular-season appearances. He also dealt with a minor leg injury this preseason, though he had strong showings in all three of the Rams' preseason contests. Nevertheless, it appears he was left on the outside…read more

Back in action
Scott (leg) carried the ball 11 times for 32 yards in Saturday's preseason finale against the Texans.
Analysis: Scott picked up a leg contusion in last week's exhibition win over the Chargers, but he wound up missing no game time to the minor setback. The veteran backup has rushed for 155 yards on 37 carries in three games this preseason. Scott is looking to make the team as a depth option behind starter Kyren Williams this upcoming season.

Dealing with minor leg injury
Head coach Sean McVay told reporters Thursday that Scott is dealing with a "little bit of a leg contusion," Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
Analysis: The injury doesn't appear to be serious, with McVay relaying that Scott is set to receive "a big workload" in Saturday's preseason finale against Houston. Scott signed a one-year contract with the Rams in April after spending the first six years of his NFL career with the Eagles. The 2018 sixth-round pick is currently pencilled in as the Rams' fourth running back on the depth chart behind Kyren Williams, rookie Blake Corum and Ronnie Rivers.

Strong showing in preseason win
Scott took 10 carries for 55 yards in Saturday's preseason tilt against the Chargers.
Analysis: Scott was the second back to receive a touch behind Zach Evans (16-62-0), but both backs were mixed in early in Saturday's exhibition win. The Rams are holding out the dynamic backs sitting atop the RB depth chart along with Ronnie Rivers this preseason, which is why Scott and Evans have been getting so much run. The long-time Eagle could find himself in a similar backup/special teams role this season, assuming he makes the 53-man roster with his new club.

Big workload in preseason opener
Scott carried the ball 15 times for 68 yards and caught all three of his targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 13-12 preseason win over the Cowboys. He also returned one kickoff for 23 yards.
Analysis: The veteran running back got the start for the Rams and played through the third quarter, leading the team in rushing in the process. Scott's big workload came with Kyren Williams, rookie Blake Corum and even Ronnie Rivers sitting out, however, suggesting that the former Eagle isn't headed for a significant role in the Rams backfield this season barring a rash of injuries.

Fresh start in L.A.
Scott agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Rams on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Scott spent his first six seasons in Philadelphia, but he will now get a fresh start in Los Angeles. While he was never a major part of the Eagles' offense during his tenure, he saw his role as a third-down back shrink during the 2023 campaign. The 29-year-old will presumably be behind Kyren Williams and rookie Blake Corum on the Rams' depth chart, and Scott will compete with Ronnie Rivers and Zach Evans for the No. 3 role.

Role shrinks in sixth season
Scott didn't play a very important role for the Eagles this season, finishing with 20 carries for 86 yards and adding four catches for 52 yards through the air over 15 regular-season games.
Analysis: Scott hasn't been a major part of the Eagles' offense at any point in his six-year career, but he'd managed to run for at least 217 yards in each of the previous four years, so his latest numbers represent a big step back. He also failed to reach the end zone for the first time since his two-game debut back in 2018. It's hard to envision the Eagles suddenly deciding to feature him more often next season.

Three carries in season finale
Scott rushed three times for five yards in Sunday's 27-10 loss to the Giants.
Analysis: With D'Andre Swift out due to illness and the Eagles resting several starters in the second half, Scott was able to play 20 offensive snaps, doubling his season high. The result was another uneventful game for the sixth-year running back, and it's fair to wonder whether he has a future with the Eagles given that he received just 24 touches (20 carries and four receptions) all season.

Non-factor against Cardinals
Scott didn't play a single offensive snap in Sunday's 35-31 loss to the Cardinals.
Analysis: Scott hasn't been a significant part of the Eagles' offensive game plan at any point this season, but he's typically at least been on the field from time to time. Week 17's loss marked the fourth time this season that Scott's only snaps came on special teams.

No magic against Giants
Scott rushed once for three yards and lost a fumble in Monday's victory over the Giants.
Analysis: Scott had developed a reputation as a Giant-killer, scoring in each of his previous eight matchups against the division rival. He's reached the end zone 10 times against the Giants and just seven times against the rest of the league combined across his six NFL seasons. His luck ran out Monday, however, as he played a total of just two offensive snaps. He was also the victim of some misfortune on a kickoff return, when teammate Olamide Zaccheaus ran directly into him, forcing a fumble.

Non-factor on offense
Scott played one snap on offense and 14 on special teams in Monday's 20-17 loss to the Seahawks.
Analysis: Scott went without a touch on offense and returned a lone kickoff for 13 yards. He's now gone without a carry or catch on four occasions this season and hasn't played more than 10 snaps on offense in any of his 12 appearances.

Minor role again
Scott rushed three times for nine yards in Sunday's 33-13 loss to Dallas.
Analysis: Scott got the ball on every single one of his offensive snaps, but that stat gets less impressive when his snap count sits at just three. Two of those three snaps came on the final two plays of the game, garbage-time runs up the middle with the Eagles down three scores.

Two touches in loss
Scott finished Sunday's loss to the 49ers with one carry for two yards and a 27-yard reception.
Analysis: By Scott's low standards, it was a productive day, as his 29 total yards represented his second-highest tally of the season. It's possible Scott sees a bigger role next week against the Cowboys if D'Andre Swift's undisclosed injury is serious enough to keep him off the field, but if that doesn't happen, Scott's average of 1.7 touches per game leaves him far from fantasy consideration.

Two carries in Week 12 win
Scott rushed twice for 14 yards and was targeted once with an incomplete pass in Sunday's 37-34 overtime win over Buffalo.
Analysis: The game went into overtime, but Scott saw the field for a total of just five offensive snaps, indicating that he remains a minor part of the Eagles' game plan. He's topped out at 10 offensive snaps in a game this season, and that came all the way back in Week 2.

Minimal involvement in Week 11
Scott rushed two times for eight yards in Monday's 21-17 win over the Chiefs.
Analysis: Scott played a limited role against the Chiefs, playing just seven of the Eagles' 56 offensive snaps Monday. The veteran's two carries were his most since Week 6 after he failed to record a single rushing attempt in his last two appearances. Buried on the depth chart behind D'Andre Swift and Kenneth Gainwell, Scott should remain off the fantasy radar when the Eagles host the Bills in Week 12.

Won't play Sunday
Scott has been deemed out for Sunday's game against the Cowboys due to personal reasons.
Analysis: Scott has appeared in all but one of Philly's eight games this season, and it's unclear what issue(s) will keep him from playing Week 9. The 5-foot-6 running back has played just eight offensive snaps this season, so his absence could leave Rashaad Penny to play an increased role on special teams while D'Andre Swift and Kenneth Gainwell continue to handle the bulk of the Eagles' rushing workload.

Plays just one offensive snap
Scott caught one pass for four yards in Sunday's 38-31 win against Washington.
Analysis: Scott missed Week 3 with a concussion and has since been on the field for a grand total of six offensive snaps in the last five games, including just one against the Commanders. In a sense, the fact that he received a touch on 100 percent of the snaps he played in Week 8 is an impressive figure, but it's not a performance which will have helped many fantasy teams. Scott needs at least one injury ahead of him on the depth chart if he's to play enough to have real fantasy relevance.

Earns small offensive role
Scott saw the field for five offensive snaps in Sunday's 20-14 loss to the Jets, carrying the ball twice for two yards and catching one pass for 14 yards.
Analysis: Scott wasn't a significant part of Philadelphia's offensive game plan, but it was at least a step in the right direction after he missed Week 3 with a concussion and spent Weeks 4 and 5 limited to special-teams duty. He likely needs at least one injury ahead of him on the running-back depth chart for him to step into a fantasy-relevant role.

Limited to special teams again
Scott was not deployed for a single offensive snap yet again in the Eagles' Week 5 win over the Rams.
Analysis: Scott's last touch came back Week 2 against the Vikings, as a concussion kept him out for Week 3 before he was limited to special-teams work Weeks 4 and 5. Even if Scott finds his way back into the game plan at some point down the line, he's unlikely to fill a major role.

Zero offensive snaps in Week 4
Scott returned from a concussion for Week 4's overtime win against the Commanders, but his only snaps came on special teams.
Analysis: Scott saw the field for the first time since he exited with a concussion in the third quarter against the Vikings in Week 2, but he wasn't part of the offensive game plan. D'Andre Swift and Kenneth Gainwell were the only Eagles to see the field at running back Week 4. It's not yet clear whether Scott's lack of offensive snaps will be a pattern that continues next week against the Rams, or if he was merely being ramped back up after his head injury.

No Week 4 injury designation
Scott (concussion) practiced fully again Friday and doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Commanders.
Analysis: Scott managed to participate fully in each of Philadelphia's three practices, and his lack of an injury designation suggests the running back has cleared concussion protocol. With a fully healthy backfield for the first time since Week 1, the Eagles will likely use Scott and Kenneth Gainwell in change-of-pace roles behind D'Andre Swift, while Rashaad Penny could be relegated back to inactive status, which was the case in the season opener.

Practices fully again Thursday
Scott (concussion) was again a full participant in Thursday's practice.
Analysis: It remains unclear if Scott has formally cleared the concussion protocol, but it sounds like he's extremely close to a return after missing Week 3's contest against the Bucs. Scott's return would likely send Rashaad Penny back to the inactive list.

Listed as full Wednesday
Scott (concussion) was listed as a full participant on Wednesday's estimated injury report.
Analysis: In the wake of the Eagles' Week 2 win versus the Vikings, Scott entered the concussion protocol. Prior to being ruled out for this past Monday's game at Tampa Bay, he managed just one limited practice. While he didn't have a cap on his reps at Wednesday's walk-through session, it's unclear if Scott has made his way through the aforementioned protocol.

Not playing Monday
Scott (concussion) has been ruled out ahead of Monday's matchup against the Buccaneers.
Analysis: Scott did participate in Saturday's practice in limited fashion, but it wasn't enough for him to suit up against the Buccaneers. Kenneth Gainwell (ribs) didn't have an injury listed on the team's final injury report, meaning the Philadelphia backfield can certainly manage the loss of Scott with Gainwell, D'Andre Swift and Rashaad Penny all likely seeing playing time Monday.

Still limited due to concussion
Scott (concussion) was a limited participant in practice Friday.
Analysis: Contrary to an earlier report, it seems that Scott has yet to clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol, though his limited practice Friday was a step in the right direction. Fellow running back Kenneth Gainwell (ribs) was a full participant Friday, leaving Scott as the likely No. 3 back (behind Gainwell and D'Andre Swift) if he's able to play Monday night in Tampa.

Clears concussion protocol
Scott cleared concussion protocol and returned to practice Friday, Josh Tolentino of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Analysis: Scott is thus set to play Monday in Tampa Bay, getting some help from the extra rest period after Philly's win over Minnesota last Thursday night. Scott left that game early with a concussion, while D'Andre Swift dominated backfield work en route to 175 rushing yards and Rashaad Penny mixed in only occasionally. Not ready to practice
Scott (concussion) isn't participating in Thursday's practice, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Scott remains in the NFL's concussion protocol after he exited the Eagles' Week 2 win over the Vikings on Sept. 14. While the running back might have made progress through the five-step protocol on some level in the ensuing week, Scott evidently didn't show enough improvement to get back on the practice field. He'll have two more chances to fit in some practice activity and potentially clear the protocol before the Eagles will have to give him a designation for Monday's game at Tampa Bay.

In concussion protocol
Scott exited Thursday's game against the Vikings with a head injury and is in concussion protocol.
Analysis: Scott exited the game in the third quarter, though it's unclear exactly how the injury occurred. With Kenneth Gainwell (ribs) sidelined, Scott worked as the change-of-pace back behind D'Andre Swift and had tallied five carries for 40 yards before being sidelined. Assuming Scott can't return, Swift should see a lot of the work out of the backfield with Rashaad Penny potentially mixing in.

Could see increased role Week 2
Zach Berman of The Athletic speculates that Scott will be active along with D'Andre Swift and Rashaad Penny for Philadelphia's Week 2 contest against Minnesota on Thursday.
Analysis: Scott played a minimal role on offense during a season-opening win over the Patriots, carrying once for three yards and catching his only target for seven yards. He could see more work against the Vikings on Thursday with Kenneth Gainwell (ribs) -- who was the Eagles' lead tailback Week 1 -- ruled out. Minimal impact in Week 1
Scott carried the ball once for three yards and caught one pass for seven yards in Sunday's win over the Patriots.
Analysis: With Miles Sanders now in Carolina and new additions D'Andre Swift (19 snaps) and Rashaad Penny (healthy scratch) not having large roles, there theoretically could have been room for Scott to make his mark. Instead, the sixth-year back saw the field for just eight offensive snaps, with Kenneth Gainwell (41 snaps) being used as the clear starter. Negligible production Thursday
Scott rushed once for minus-1 yard and did not draw a target in the Eagles' 18-18 preseason tie with the Browns on Thursday night.
Analysis: Scott's forgettable showing may have done significant damage to his chances of securing a roster spot, especially with Trey Sermon having put together an impressive performance that included a 33-yard touchdown run. The 28-year-old has the experience edge on Sermon, but he may need a standout performance in next Thursday's home preseason finale against the Colts to vault over his teammate in the minds of the coaching staff.

May not be roster lock
Scott is one of five running backs getting first-team reps for Philadelphia this summer, making his future with the team uncertain, Reuben Frank of NBC Sports reports.
Analysis: The longtime Eagles backup has been rotating with D'Andre Swift, Rashaad Penny, Kenneth Gainwell and Trey Sermon. It's Sermon who might pose a problem for Scott, as the former has reportedly stood out as one of the pleasant surprises of Eagles camp. Of course, injuries could still thin the group out before Week 1, and Scott has probably done enough the past few years to land on his feet with another team if the Eagles eventually cut him.

Staying in Philadelphia
Scott agreed Tuesday with the Eagles on a one-year contract, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Scott turns 28 years old in April and has spent his entire five-year career with the Eagles as a backup running back. The Eagles reportedly added Rashaad Penny to their backfield Tuesday, and it wouldn't be surprising if Philadelphia isn't done bolstering the position group this offseason. Scott would likely need one or two injuries ahead of him in order to land on the fantasy radar. He handled just 54 carries for 217 yards and three touchdowns in 2022 and wasn't a factor in the passing game.

Free agency looms
Scott logged 54 carries for 217 yards and three touchdowns across 15 regular-season games with the Eagles in 2022. He also secured five of six targets for 15 yards.
Analysis: Scott was additionally an important contributor on special teams for Philadelphia, as he amassed 406 yards as a kick returner. The soon-to-be 28-year-old is scheduled to become a free agent when the new league year begins, but he could realistically re-sign with the Eagles on another one-year deal, as he did in both 2021 and 2022. Scott has been consistently reliable across his five years with Philadelphia, never once dipping below 4.0 YPC.

Gets into end zone Sunday
Scott carried the ball nine times for a season-high 54 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 22-16 win over the Giants.
Analysis: The running back scored Philadelphia's only TD of the game on an eight-yard run in the first quarter and wound up leading the team in rushing yards, as with the Eagles ahead 16-0 at the half, they had little incentive to give Miles Sanders a heavy workload. Scott wraps up the regular season with 217 rushing yards and three touchdowns over 15 games in a depth role, and his usage isn't likely to change in the playoffs.

Scott rushed twice for six yards in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Saints.
Analysis: Scott made a minimal impact in a game in which the Eagles offense fell flat as a unit, though his two carries were two more than he'd managed in either of the previous two weeks. He also out-snapped fellow depth running back Kenneth Gainwell by a 18-15 margin and tied him in touches. Scott did not receive a touch in Sunday's win over the Bears.
Analysis: Scott recorded a season-high seven touches in each of the previous two weeks, but he saw the field for just four offensive snaps this time around. He did at least make some impact on the game, as his 58-yard kickoff return to open the second half led to a quick touchdown. Reaches end zone
Scott rushed six times for 33 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 48-22 win over the Giants. He also caught one pass for four yards.
Analysis: Scott found the end zone for the second time this season. His three-yard rush late in the fourth quarter stretched the Eagles' lead to 34 points. Six carries and one catch
Scott carried the ball six times for 16 yards and caught one pass for five more yards in Sunday's big win over the Titans.
Analysis: Scott had just four fewer carries and eight fewer yards than starting running back Miles Sanders, but that's primarily thanks to the fact that the Eagles had so much success in the passing game that they didn't need to do much on the ground. Scott has now reached seven touches twice this season but has yet to receive more than that.

Minor role in big ground game
Scott carried the ball three times for 24 yards in Sunday's 40-33 win over the Packers.
Analysis: The Eagles rushed 49 times for 363 yards on the day, but with 300 of those yards being gained by Jalen Hurts and Miles Sanders, little was left for Scott to do. All three of Scott's carries came in the fourth quarter. One of those rushing attempts led to a 19-yard gain, a season high for Scott, but the fact that he was largely a non-factor despite his team's big day on the ground further reinforces the fact that he's at least one injury away from fantasy relevance.

Touches ball five times
Scott carried the ball three times for eight yards and caught both his targets for four more yards in Sunday's win over the Colts.
Analysis: Scott received 13 offensive snaps compared to 11 for Kenneth Gainwell and out-touched his fellow running back by a five to one margin, though neither provided much fantasy value. Scott has gained a total of just 90 yards this season and found the end zone just once, so he's a long way from fantasy relevance at the moment.

Season-high seven carries
Scott gained 21 yards on seven carries in Sunday's win over the Steelers.
Analysis: Scott's seven carries represented a new season high, but that was entirely the product of some garbage-time action in a game the undefeated Eagles won by 22 points. All of his touches came in the fourth quarter with Gardner Minshew under center to close out a comfortable victory. Scott remains unlikely to fill a fantasy-relevant role unless starting running back Miles Sanders gets hurt.

Carries ball six times
Scott rushed for 16 yards on a season-high six carries in Sunday's win over the Cowboys.
Analysis: Scott out-carried fellow depth running back Kenneth Gainwell, 6-5, rushing the ball more than either back had gotten the chance to in any previous game this season. That still added up to a very modest overall performance, however, and it's unlikely Scott makes a much larger impact on future games if he continues to see the field for just 10 snaps like he did against Dallas.

Ready to roll
Scott (ribs) isn't listed on the Week 6 injury report ahead of a matchup with the Cowboys on Sunday.
Analysis: While Scott was out the past two weeks, Miles Sanders played 67 and 74 percent of snaps on offense, up from between 52 and 59 percent over the first three weeks. In fact, Sanders' snap share has grown slightly larger with each passing week this season, though the trend could change Sunday if both Scott and Kenneth Gainwell (ribs) are available.

Inactive Sunday
Scott (ribs) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Sage Hurley of the Eagles' official site reports.
Analysis: With Scott still out this week, Kenneth Gainwell and Trey Sermon are in line to continue to log complementary snaps behind top back Miles Sanders, who racked up 27 carries in the Eagles' Week 4 win over the Jaguars.

Questionable to face Cardinals
Scott (ribs) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Arizona.
Analysis: Scott's status mostly is of fantasy interest insofar as it relates to Miles Sanders' value. With Scott out last week, Sanders had career highs for carries and rushing yards in a win over the Jaguars, while Kenneth Gainwell merely handled his usual role off the bench. Sanders now has a firm grip on the lead role, but he could lose some snaps if Scott avoids the inactive list ahead of Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff.

Logs another limited session
Scott (rib) was listed as a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Analysis: Scott has now opened the week with consecutive limited sessions, after he missed Sunday's 29-21 victory over the Jaguars with a rib injury he presumably picked up in Week 3 against Washington. The 27-year-old running back's participation in Friday's practice should provide additional clarity regarding his availability against Arizona this weekend, but Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell would be in line to receive additional touches should Scott eventually be ruled out Sunday.

Returns to practice
Scott (rib) returned to practice Wednesday as a limited participant.
Analysis: Scott's limited activity seemingly gives him a shot to return for Sunday's game in Arizona, after his absence from the Week 4 win over Jacksonville helped Miles Sanders set career highs for carries (27) and rushing yards (134). Kenneth Gainwell more or less handled his usual role in terms of both snap share and touches, but it's possible he gets somewhat more involved if Scott misses another game.

Won't suit up Sunday
Scott (ribs) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: After missing all three practices this week due to a rib injury, Scott unsurprisingly won't be available to Philly's offense Week 4. While Miles Sanders has been the team's unquestioned No. 1 running back this season, the second and third options have received snaps and touches. Kenneth Gainwell figures to remain the No. 2 back on Sunday, with Trey Sermon active for the first time as an Eagle.

Unlikely to play Sunday
Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said Friday that Scott (ribs) isn't expected to play Sunday against the Jaguars, Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com reports.
Analysis: Scott didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday due to a rib issue that he presumably picked up in the team's Week 3 win over Washington and probably won't be available for Week 4. In his likely absence, Trey Sermon is expected to make his Eagles debut as the third-string RB behind Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell.

Another DNP on Thursday
Scott (rib) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice.
Analysis: Scott is a distant third in terms of offensive snaps (36) behind Miles Sanders (112) and Kenneth Gainwell (60) through three games. While Scott has nearly matched Gainwell in touches, 11-13, the former now is in danger of sitting out Week 4 entirely. Scott at least has Friday's practice to make his presence felt, but if he's inactive Sunday against the Jaguars, Trey Sermon likely will be available as the Eagles' third running back.

No practice Wednesday
Scott (ribs) didn't practice Wednesday.
Analysis: Scott played a season-low seven snaps during the team's Week 3 win over Washington, and he presumably picked up a rib injury as well. The extent of the issue remains unclear, but his potential absence wouldn't make too much of an impact, as Kenneth Gainwell has solidified himself as the top backup behind Miles Sanders.

Barely used in Week 3
Scott carried the ball twice for zero yards in Sunday's win against Washington.
Analysis: Scott wasn't a significant part of the game plan Week 3, seeing the field for just seven offensive snaps. Kenneth Gainwell received 22 snaps and would be the running back to pick up if Miles Sanders gets injured.

Receives five touches
Scott rushed four times for 19 yards and caught his lone target for two more yards in Monday's win over Minnesota.
Analysis: Scott and Kenneth Gainwell split backup running back duties in Week 2, with Gainwell getting the edge in snaps (19 to 15) and Scott getting the edge in touches (five to three). That marks a change from Week 1, when Scott seemed clearly like the No. 3 back. Even if Scott and Gainwell were combined into one player, they'd be averaging a mere 40.5 yards per game on 10.5 touches, so neither will have much fantasy value as long as Miles Sanders remains healthy.

Scores in small role
Scott carried the ball four times for 10 yards and one touchdown in Sunday's 38-35 win over the Lions.
Analysis: Scott was the fourth Eagle to rush for a touchdown on the day, as his one-yard run late in the third quarter followed previous scores by Jalen Hurts, Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell. Despite the touchdown, the game didn't offer much reason for fantasy players to invest in Scott, as he saw the field for just 14 snaps.

Finds end zone Sunday
Scott rushed 10 times for 33 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-20 preseason win over the Browns. He also caught his only target for 11 yards.
Analysis: Scott returned this week from a concussion and started ahead of Kenneth Gainwell, while usual top running back Miles Sanders (hamstring) sat out. After capping Philadelphia's opening drive with a one-yard touchdown, Scott subsequently saw Gainwell carry 11 times for 46 yards and a score on the Eagles' next series. Returning to Philly
The Eagles and Scott agreed to terms on a one-year contract Friday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Philadelphia is getting back a familiar face to its backfield in Scott, who didn't receive a tender from the team as a restricted free agent this offseason. Scott was not tendered by the Eagles, so he'll become a free agent when the new league year starts March 16, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Analysis: Scott appeared in 16 games in each of the last two campaigns and finished with at least 80 carries and 370 yards in both seasons. Last year, the 5-foot-6 running back was a revelation in the red zone, as he finished with a career-high seven touchdowns. Scott rushed once for 34 yards and a touchdown while securing his lone target for one yard in Sunday's 31-15 loss to the Buccaneers.
Analysis: Scott took on a backup role during Sunday's playoff matchup since Miles Sanders was available, but he still scored one of the Eagles' two touchdowns in the loss. The 26-year-old didn't have much fantasy value when Sanders was on the field, and he totaled 87 carries for 373 yards and seven touchdowns while securing 13 of 16 targets for 83 yards during the regular season. Scott played just three offensive snaps in Sunday's 33-18 win over the Jets.
Analysis: Scott was unable to practice this week due to a non-COVID illness. Even though Miles Sanders aggravated his ankle injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's matchup, Scott had minimal playing time against the Jets. The 26-year-old will be able to work on his conditioning during the Eagles' Week 14 bye, but his role for the team's Week 15 matchup against Washington likely depends on whether Sanders and Jordan Howard (knee) are available.

Analysis: The Eagles gave Scott 15 carries to Miles Sanders' nine -- a decision they might regret given that Scott lost a fumble in the the 13-7 loss. Scott is generally a capable player when given the usage and he'll face a weak Jets defense in Week 13, but guessing the workload split between himself, Sanders, Kenneth Gainwell and Jordan Howard (knee) is a perilous task.

He got the first series after the break to himself, and then Jordan Howard hurt his knee and opened up more work for the 26-year-old. Posts 79 total yards in start
Scott filled in for Miles Sanders (knee) and finished with 65 yards on 15 carries and two receptions (five targets) for 14 yards in Sunday's 20-14 loss to Washington.
Analysis: Scott made his third spot start in place of Sanders this season, and the results were on par with his previous opportunities in which he turned in solid, yet unspectacular, fantasy lines. The 25-year-old is a solid backup with some ability as a pass catcher, but he doesn't have much upside when he is asked to be anything more than that. Scott will become an restricted free agent this offseason, but with big turnover potentially coming for the Eagles, it is unclear whether the front office plans…read more

Replacing Miles Sanders again
Scott is expected to lead the Philadelphia backfield Sunday against Washington, as teammate Miles Sanders has been ruled out with a knee injury.
Analysis: Scott played 56, 69 and 66 percent of the offensive snaps in the three other games Sanders missed this season, averaging 12 carries for 50.3 yards and 2.3 catches for 24.7 yards, with his one touchdown being a game-winning reception Week 7 against the Giants. Scott now gets another chance to strut his stuff in a primetime game, though any of Corey Clement, Jason Huntley and Jordan Howard could also have a role in the game plan.

Plays just eight snaps in loss
Scott carried the ball twice for 17 yards in Sunday's 37-17 loss to the Cowboys.
Analysis: Scott saw his fewest carries since Week 5 but made the most of them, as he gained as many yards as he had in any of his past four contests. With Miles Sanders healthy, the 25-year-old is looking at a similar role in Week 17 against Washington.

Just one touch in loss
Scott caught his lone target for a seven-yard gain in Sunday's 33-26 loss to Arizona.
Analysis: Scott played 15 snaps in the game and has not seen more than 16 in any of his past three outings. The Louisiana Tech product did not register a carry for the first time all season and has not seen more than four touches in a contest since Week 12.

Three carries in win
Scott carried the ball three times for six yards and caught his lone target for 11 yards in Sunday's 24-21 win over New Orleans.
Analysis: Scott has seen single-digit touches in five straight games. Meanwhile, Miles Sanders and Jalen Hurts garnered 32 rushing attempts between them Sunday, suggesting Scott's role in the offense isn't likely to grow due to the switch at quarterback.

Just two touches in loss
Scott rushed twice for nine yards and was unable to catch either of his two targets in Sunday's 30-16 loss to Green Bay.
Analysis: Scott has not topped eight touches since the Eagles' Week 9 bye. He remains a fantasy afterthought as long as Miles Sanders is healthy.

Catches five passes
Scott rushed twice for seven yards and caught five of six targets for 40 yards in Monday night's 23-17 loss to the Seahawks.
Analysis: Scott trailed only Dallas Goedert for Philadelphia's team lead in receptions. Despite the presence of Miles Sanders ahead of him on the depth chart, Scott has persisted as a useful change-of-pace threat, with his versatility as a pass-catcher working as an added bonus. Look for him to remain in the mix as a complementary piece in Week 13 versus the Packers.

Green light for MNF
Scott (abdomen) won't carry an injury designation into Monday's game against the Seahawks.
Analysis: Scott upgraded to full participation at Saturday's practice, so he's full speed ahead for Monday's primetime matchup. Miles Sanders is healthy and remains the clear lead back. Scott has still received plenty of work on offense with Sanders in the equation, as he played 40 percent of the offensive snaps in last week's win against the Browns, producing 50 yards on eight touches.

Tending to abdominal injury
Scott (abdomen) was listed as limited on Thursday's practice estimate.
Analysis: In the seven contests in which Miles Sanders has been active this season, Scott has totaled 29 touches for 185 yards and one TD while averaging 17.4 offensive snaps per game. Such a workload is difficult to rely upon for consistent fantasy output, and now with an abdominal injury in tow, Scott has a cloud hanging over his head for Monday night's game against the Seahawks.

Produces 50 scrimmage yards
Scott carried five times for 24 yards and caught all three of his targets for an additional 26 yards during Sunday's 22-17 loss to the Browns.
Analysis: Scott averaged a respectable 4.8 yards per carry and again made an impact as a pass-catcher out of the backfield. He had at least 74 scrimmage yards in each of his previous three games; although he took a step back in this one, he made the most of his touches even as Miles Sanders got the ball 19 times. Up next is a Monday night matchup against the Seahawks. Scott could see a few extra passes thrown his way if Philadelphia finds itself playing from behind for most of the game.

Breaks off long touchdown
Scott carried the ball three times for 63 yards and a touchdown in Week 10 against the Giants. He chipped in one reception for 11 yards.
Analysis: Scott saw his opportunity decrease significantly due to the return of Miles Sanders. Even with only four total touches, he still managed to provide the Eagles with their most explosive play of the contest when he ripped off a 56-yard touchdown to start the second half. Despite the impressive run, Scott touched the ball only once more the remainder of the game, making it clear that Sanders is the lead back so long as he remains healthy.

Effective in another spot start
Scott rushed 15 times for 70 yards and caught both of his targets for nine yards in Sunday's 23-9 win over Dallas.
Analysis: Scott received another start in place of the injured Miles Sanders (knee), and while he wasn't able to replicate last week's trip to the end zone, he produced well with the increased workload (4.7 yards per carry). The Eagles have an upcoming bye week, which could allow Sanders to get closer to full strength. However, if Sanders is unable to go, Scott will get another start in a plus matchup when the Eagles take on the Giants in Week 10.

Set for another start
Scott will draw the start at running back against Dallas on Sunday, Chris McPherson of the Eagles' official site reports.
Analysis: Miles Sanders (knee) has already been ruled out for Week 8, so Scott will be the lead back for a second straight game. He touched the ball 15 times last week, totaling 92 yards and a touchdown. The projected game script against a Dallas team that has only scored 13 points over its last two games and will be starting a third-string rookie QB, would seem to indicate that another solid outing for the 25-year-old is in store.

Works as lead back
Scott rushed 12 times for 46 yards and brought in three of five targets for 46 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles' 22-21 win over the Giants on Thursday night.
Analysis: With Miles Sanders (knee) out of action, Scott had an opportunity to take on lead-back duties versus a team that he racked up three rushing touchdowns against in Week 17. On this occasion, Scott found the end zone only once and did so through the air, and he did so at the most critical time possible. Primary replacement for Sanders
Scott is expected to handle the bulk of the touches out of the Philadelphia backfield in Thursday's game against the Giants, Mike Kaye of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.
Analysis: After coach Doug Pederson said Wednesday that top back Miles Sanders (knee) won't play Week 7, Scott is positioned to start for the Eagles, just as he did Week 1, when Sanders was sidelined with a hamstring injury. Likely to lead Week 7 RB committee
Coach Doug Pederson said that the Eagles would likely use a running-back-by-committee Thursday against the Giants if starter Miles Sanders (knee) is unavailable, with Scott presumably stepping in as the lead option, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Sanders exited Sunday's loss to the Ravens with a knee injury, and while the Eagles are still waiting on the results of an MRI before confirming his status for Thursday's divisional game, Chris Mortensen of ESPN relays that the 23-year-old is expected to be sidelined for 1-to-2 weeks. Non-factor in Week 5
Scott carried the ball once for three yards in Week 5 against the Steelers.
Analysis: Scott was factored out of the contest as the Eagles' running backs accounted for just 12 rushing attempts. His role has steadily declined as Miles Sanders has worked up to full strength, logging 19 attempts in five contests. At this point, Scott is solely a handcuff to Sanders in the case of an injury.

Credited with just one yard in win
Scott rushed twice for one yard in Sunday's 25-20 win over San Francisco.
Analysis: Scott didn't record any official catches in the game, but he did pick up 17 on a short pass that was negated by penalty. Unfortunately, the Louisiana Tech product continues to see his playing time trend downward, as he saw a mere nine offensive snaps in the contest, a season low.

Gains just five yards in tie
Scott rushed three times for five yards and couldn't catch his only target in Sunday's 23-23 tie with the Bengals.
Analysis: It was the Miles Sanders Show once again as Scott was on the field for just 13 offensive plays. While that is more than double what Corey Clement saw (six snaps), it isn't enough to be rosterable in fantasy and likely won't be as long as Sanders is healthy.

Seven touches in loss
Scott rushed four times for 19 yards and caught all three of his targets for 24 yards in the Eagles' 37-19 loss to the Rams on Sunday.
Analysis: As anticipated, Scott took a back seat to Miles Sanders, who returned to a usual workload in his season debut. Sanders saw 23 touches to Scott's seven, going over 100 yards with a touchdown. Barring another setback for Sanders, Scott will be left to pick up scraps in this offense, making fantasy-relevant production difficult to attain.

Back in No. 2 role
Scott is set to revert to his backup role with Miles Sanders (hamstring) having returned to practice as a full participant, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Scott saw 11 total touches against Washington on Sunday with Sanders sidelined, but he's now set to revert to his usual diminished role. The 25-year-old could still see work as a change-of-pace option against the Rams in Week 2, but with Corey Clement also handling occasional reps behind Sanders, he may not end up with enough opportunities to have a safe fantasy floor.

Scott carried nine times for 35 yards and caught both his targets for an additional 19 yards during Sunday's 27-17 loss to Washington.
Analysis: Scott received the most carries out of the Philadelphia backfield, but he managed just 3.9 yards per rush against a tough defensive front. He made a couple of nice gains through the air but still finished with an uninspiring final stat line. Set for major workload
Scott is expected to see a major uptick in snaps after Miles Sanders (hamstring) was ruled out ahead of Sunday's game, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: The last time Scott sat atop Philadelphia's depth chart, the 25-year-old recorded 23 total touches, 138 total yards and three touchdowns in last year's Week 16 win over the Giants. While Scott will at least have Corey Clement and Jason Huntley to split some snaps with this time, it's entirely possible the backup could see a similar workload with Sanders set to miss Sunday's game. Scott (lower body) returned to practice Monday, Eliot Shorr-Parks of Sports Radio 94 WIP Philadelphia reports.

Suffers minor injury
The Eagles are labeling Scott as day to day with a lower-body injury, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Analysis: Meanwhile, fellow Eagles running back Miles Sanders is listed as week to week, also dealing with an unspecified lower-body injury. Corey Clement should take on a bunch of first-team practice reps this week, but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll have a significant role in the season opener, as both Sanders and Scott are still expected to be ready for Week 1 at Washington on Sept. 13. Scott is expected to serve as Philly's No. 2 back this year.

Second on depth chart
Scott is positioned to be the No. 2 running back in Philadelphia, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Scott did nice work in that same role late last year, scoring four TDs over the final four games of the regular season while averaging 4.0 yards on 38 carries and 8.7 yards on 23 catches. He also saw some work on punt and kick returns, so the inevitable Darren Sproles comparisons aren't solely based on his stature (5-foot-6). FInishes season strong
Scott rushed 61 times for 245 yards and five touchdowns while adding 24 catches on 26 targets for 204 yards in 11 regular-season games in 2019.
Analysis: Scott started the year buried on the depth chart but contributed solidly once he got the opportunity. With Darren Sproles (hip) and Jordan Howard (shoulder) out, Scott got the opportunity to run what was essentially the "Sproles role" with 176 rushing yards on 44 attempts and 26 catches on 28 targets for 222 receiving yards over the Eagles' last five games, including their wild-card loss. The 24-year-old has likely earned a similar role on the team next season with Sproles headed for retirement.

Three TDs in Week 17
Scott carried the ball 19 times for 54 yards and three touchdowns and caught four of six targets for 84 yards in Sunday's 34-17 win over the Giants.
Analysis: Miles Sanders left the game in the second quarter with an ankle injury and did not return, but even with Jordan Howard back in the lineup, it was Scott who stepped up and led the team in both rushing and receiving yards while scoring three red-zone TDs in the second half as the Eagles broke the game open. With the NFC East title now in hand and a wild-card battle against the Seahawks ahead next weekend, Scott could again have a significant role in the offense if Sanders isn't 100 percent.

Expected to have role in game plan
Coach Doug Pederson said Thursday that Scott has earned the chance to maintain a role in the Eagles' offensive game plan, even with fellow back Jordan Howard (shoulder) expected to play Sunday against the Giants, Eliot Shorr-Parks of Sports Radio 94 WIP Philadelphia reports.
Analysis: While Howard has been sidelined for the past six games, Scott has stepped in as the top complement to Miles Sanders, who ascended to the No. 1 spot on the depth chart. Over that stretch, Scott has averaged a healthy 4.7 yards per carry while also shining as a pass catcher, hauling in all 19 of his targets for 115 yards. Scott rushed three times for 12 yards and caught all six of his targets for seven yards in Sunday's 17-9 win over Dallas.
Analysis: Scott got out-touched again by Miles Sanders, 26-9, but the Louisiana Tech product caught enough balls to matter in PPR leagues. Sanders similarly out-snapped Scott, 59-20, on offense. Scott rushed six times for 26 yards and caught all seven of his targets for 39 yards in Sunday's 37-27 win over Washington.
Analysis: Scott delivered a nice PPR performance, but he played second fiddle to Miles Sanders, who turned 19 carries and six catches into 172 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns. Although Sanders would ultimately return to action, Scott made the most of his opportunity, scoring a two-yard touchdown to close the third quarter and popping big plays in both the running and passing games. The 24-year-old also handled punt and kick returns for the Eagles.
